Ceremony :: 2:00 p.m.
Holy Family Church
1080 West Roosevelt Road
Chicago, IL 60607

Built in 1857, Holy Family is the second oldest church in Chicago and one of only five buildings to survive the Great Fire of 1871. One of the best examples of Victorian Gothic architecture in the country, its 15,000 square-foot interior boasts 1,000 seats for services and a 65-foot ceiling throughout the sanctuary. Among its many notable features are the oldest stained glass windows in the city, a world-class pipe organ and a 226-foot bell tower, once Chicago's tallest point. The church is located next to St. Ignatius College Prep on Roosevelt Road between May and Morgan. To get there, take the I90-94 Expressway to the Taylor Street/Roosevelt Road exit. Northsiders will have to pass Taylor Street and go straight, before turning right onto Roosevelt Road. Southsiders can turn left onto Roosevelt Road immediately at the exit. Take Roosevelt past Halsted, and St. Francis of Assisi church, to Holy Family, which is on the left side of the street. Free parking is available in the gated lot west of the church on May/Roosevelt. Looking for something to do between the ceremony and reception? May we suggest a drink at the panoramic Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building, a walk along the Chicago River or a ride on the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier.
